Dengan adanya subnetting, akan mengurangi pemborosan IP Address. Karena melalui subnetting, sebuah IP Network dapat dibagi lagi mejadi sub-sub IP Network / subnet. Selain itu, penggunaan router rip ini sangat membantu dalam memudahkan jaringan yang berbeda dapat saling berkomunikasi tanpa pengaturan manual. Manfaat dari router rip ini akan sangat terlihat apabila diimplementasikan dalam sebuah jaringan yang besar.
